Sweet! I brewed a barley wine the other night and didnt use a blow off, thought i had enough head space. I got home and the air lock was blown clean off and broken.

I think its gonna be fine. Nothing could get in the way that stuff was goin and I got another airlock on it

You'll have to let me know how this beer turns out. The only trappist ale ive had is chimay, and i wasnt too crazy about it.

Wow, and I think Chimay Blue is among the best beers I have had. And it's cousin St Bernardus Abt 12 is the pinnacle. I simply shows one man's trash is another man's treasure. Who knew?

I LOVE Chimay Blue. I got a 2 year old Chimay Blue about 3 months ago, and holy crap it was awesome. Normally I find they are just under a year. I have NO idea how that one sat around so long, but thank god it did.

Nice dude, and a nice little setup, too. Super well composed video too - little hint of your brew book at the end. Share a recipe?

nice, you posted it while i was posting ^ ^:mug:

I have yet to make a beer from scratch. This is my 5th extract batch and I am REALLY looking forward to going all grain sometime after my 10th batch.

I will keep you updated on how this turns out. I will be updating my blog this weekend with the recipes for the Cream Ale and the Trappist ale.

Check my signature for the link if you want.
