No, it's not too late!
It depends on where you are of course, how "late" late is. We still have about 3 feet of snow on the ground, with more snow to come on Monday. It'll probably be mid-May before I see bare ground, maybe later. But others have hops 8 feet tall already where they've had spring weather!

You should be good into mid May. If you need rhizomes I still have plenty left.
