Well I'm enjoying making beer. But I hate bottles. I also mainly experiment with stouts.

So I'm looking at getting a 19l keg, read bits of info everywhere and need some help.

If I buy a 70/30 nitro gas can I force carbonate?

It's seem to be hard to get 70/30 in new zealand. So

Can I carbonate with C02 and then swap onto 100% nitro for delivery.

Or force carbonate and swap out to 70/30?

What do you all recommend. Benefits/pro of each method?

Thanks

The very first time I did this. I forced carbonated on co2 for a bit . Then changed over to beer gas . It wasn't carbonated enough for me so I put it back on the co2 . Hooked it back up to beer gas . Did this a few times to get it right.

Now I just pressure up my fermenter about a week before I keg . Transfer it then right up to beer gas . Its worked quite well for me .
