So I'm finally at the point where I can start kegging... I'm running oxi clean through the tanks and lines and I've noticed that when the liquid runs out, it starts bubbling and leaking air out of the back end of the faucet where I connect it to the liquid line. I thought it was odd when I unpacked it and it was just a metal to metal connection... I would have figured there would need to be an o-ring to seal it. Is this normal?

I have the same style connector. You need to get a neoprene washer to go in between. They cost around a dollar on midwest. I would think you could pick one up at a local homebrew shop if you have one near by.

Okay, thanks... Very strange that a "keg kit" wouldn't come with those. How annoying.

If you bought a "keg kit" from a company then let them know they forgot the shank-tailpiece rubber washers. That part should be included in any kit purchase that includes shank tailpieces.

Yep I just ran into this with my new keg kit. What I did was take the rubber grommet off on of my bucket fermenting lids and cut it in half and used those as rubber washers. Worked great.
