Hello everyone out there in Kombucha Forum land!
I am a first time brewer/fermenter of kombucha after getting the idea from a friend and have taken a great liking to the process and well as the great flavor and benefits of the beverage! I started out with a smaller, palm sized Scoby and after one quart sized batch I decided to ramp up production into a 5 gallon bucket (about 4 gallons in the batch!). My Scoby seems to be doing well and the kombucha tastes delicious but I would love some second opinions of the look and health of my Scoby. She is kept in a 5 gallon food-grade plastic bucket that has been sterilized throughout the whole process (bucket, tea, sugar, cloth etc. all sterilized). She has grown a bunch in the past few weeks and looks pretty crazy!
Also, feel free to post pictures of your scobys, I have seen some people doing a similar sized batch and it looks similar or even better!
Thanks and Blessings to everyone!
