I received a beer kit at christmas and figured it was time to get back into brewing, this time I wanted to try full grain brewing but first was to get away from bottling. I read several postings on kegerators before I found out about keezers, I was hooked. The thought of having several different beers on tap was very appealing to me so I did some research on different types of builds and came up with one I liked. The coffin style was what I liked but did not like having to lift the entire lid just to get access to the kegs so I split the lid into three sections. The freezer is controlled by a digital temperature controller I picked up off Amazon for about 12.00, added LED lighting and the final product looks not bad. Total build cost just for the keezer was under 250.00, yes it was a used freezer for 50 bucks. The kegs cost more but I now have three kegs and room for one more.

That looks very nicely done! :mug:

Is there any air-space between the paneling and the freezer sheet metal around the sides?

Cheers!
No the panels and wood is glued directly to the freezer. I kept things simple and I did not want to make it any bigger than what it already was.

Did you cover the vent for the compressor? If so, heat may be an issue and it could lead to premature failure.

Looks great. I really love the dual opening sides for easy access.

I will drowned you in beer if you come build one for me. Looks awesome.

Sweet.

I'll retire one day (hopefully)... until then I'll just have to settle for what I have. It would be nice to build something as nice as that. Kudos.

Do you have pictures on how you built the tower? I would be very interested to see its inner workings.

The side vent was left open as well as the back of the unit is fully open so lots of air flow
