I finally got round to brewing again, 1st time since October.

Life got in the way, 2 deaths (both my wife's parents - within 8 months of each other) and 2 weddings.

But yesterday i attempted my first lager - a pilsner style

used north star pilsner malt and hopped with hallertau mittlefrau and tettnanger late in boil and flame out.

Was shooting for a estimated og of 1.050 actually came out at 1.054.

Heres a few pics of the day

Nice setup. I thought I was looking into my patio for a minute. I just recently had a hopped pilsner. Very surprised how well it tasted. I'm in the bitter camp for beer and it was a nice change from the hazy IPA kick I've ben on for a few year.

I am thinking of trying a Pils for the first time as well. Would love to hear more of your process, fermenting and lagering. This will be my first attempt and I am kinda nervous. Will be following this to see how it comes out.
