Chilled and poured my first beer from my first home brew. Brewed a Vienna Lager. Primary-2 weeks. Secondary- 3 weeks at about 39 degrees. 3 weeks in the bottle. Beer has a green taste and is not clear at all. Not a bad taste, but was expecting something different. Hopefully it just needs more conditioning time. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you have controlled fermentation temperatures? Also, I always felt that 3 weeks in a bottle was minimum to get carbonation. I used to like to wait at least 6 weeks before trying to pass it off as good beer. Give it a bit of time.

also, did you pour the sediment from the bottle in the glass...could that be where the cloudiness is coming from?

So, you did a lager for your very first beer? You like jumping into the deep end of the pool, don't you? :)

So, I'm assuming you used a lager yeast, rather than an ale yeast. If so, it would have really been better if you had left it at 50 degrees for about three weeks, then did a short diacetyl rest at about 64, and then lagered it for about two-three MONTHS after allowing the bottles to carbonate for three weeks at room temperature.

Probably what you are experiencing is really young, possibly incompletely fermented beer. I'm sure it's drinkable, but you're really short-changing yourself by not following a more typical lager schedule. The fermentation schedule you used would have been more than adequate for an ale.
