Hey guys,
I recently acquired some Firestone Challenger racetrack-lid kegs. I'm having trouble getting them not to spew liquid out the quick disconnect when I plug it into the out post. These are the kind that have the little annoying white nylon washers inside the post. I don't have replacements at the moment, but they look like they're in decent shape, I'm just wondering if I'm putting the whole thing together correctly and i can't find detailed instructions online.

I am putting the nylon washer, large side down, onto the top of the keg, then tightening the post down over it. I pressureize it and it seems to be OK, but then when I put the liquid quick disconnect, it spews liquid out the top of the disconnect! Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

If it only leaks when the disconnect is on, either the disconnect is damaged or the post o ring is not good. Are you sure you are putting the disconnect on the right post?

Damn it. Thanks for making me try another QD. Looks like the first liquid disconnect is F'd...And I wanted to blame the old keg.

Now, any idea why a quick disconnect would break and shoot liquid out the side? I've only used this one once before...It's a barbed one.

Take it apart and see. The top opens with a screwdriver. Turn it in the slot. I think you can buy replacement parts for them. I'm sure someone here knows.
