I am doing mini mash recipes and using a brewvint yeast fuel and whirlfloc (irish moss) in the last 15 minutes of boiling. I seem to get a lot of sediment when cooling down under the 100 degree range. The sediment seems to be in suspension where I can't really just siphon the wort out. Does it make sense to pour the wort through a mesh "filter" when transferring it to my primary? How does everyone else handle that?
Thanks,
Sid

I pour my wort through a fine mesh grain bag to remove hop debris. I also chill the wort to the low 60°s. While the wort is chilling the debris has mostly dropped out.

I strain out the hop debris to make yeast harvesting cleaner, otherwise the hop debris has no effect on the fermentation or the beer produced.
