I put my fermenter in a small closet yesterday. This morning when I went to check on it (about 24 hours it's been in the closet with the door closed) I realized there's a bunch of chemicals in there with it. Round Up weed killer, and 2 spray applied insect killers. The closest has a distinct chemical smell to it, not over powering, it think it's one of the bug killers, it's a pet/kid friendly one with "less" aggressive chemicals.
Should I be worried? I moved the chemicals out just now.
I got one of those screw on lids, and I will keep the airlock filled, I should be ok, right? It should be air tight. Air lock is bubbling away so at least I got that going for me. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1392576584.018153.jpg

The CO2 pressure from fermentation should keep anything gaseous from getting into your fermenter. As a matter of principle I advise against storing your beer anywhere you wouldn't store any other kind of food.
