On trying to save space I am trying to move away from a fermentation chamber and substitute it with a 'peltier dip chiller' idea.

Not connected yet in pic
-insert through hole in top of fermenter
-stainless steel in contact with beer
-copper 'plumbing' elsewhere.
-dual 40mm peltier module and fins/fan kit.
-automotive circulation pump
-flip switch to change between hearing or cooling mode

Sadly on first test it didn't work. Fins just got extremely hot and the cool side hardly got cold. Cheap Chinese TEC unit and I suspect the heatsink and fans are undersize. Tried the peltier at 6v instead of the rated 12v and it worked ok, but I need the full cooling capacity so either buying two extra little fans or swooping it out with two compatibly sized CPU coolers.

Will post more pictures one is working
