My fermentation took about 4 days to start, and kept steady for a few weeks. for the last 2 weeks i had bubbles in the lock about every 10 minutes. now about every hour or so, but nearly done im sure. Total time since pitching yeast has been 40 days - almost 6 weeks! Is this too long to ferment? I'm going to check SG tonight, and possibly bottle on Sunday. I didnt realize so much time had passed, so is this out of the ordinary.
The bucket has been in the basement at approx 64 degrees, but sitting on the concrete floor which is closer to 60 deg. The beer is an "American Light" pilsner. Any thoughts?

Nothing you have posted tells me anything about your fermentation.

All that airlock activity is is an indication of gas being moved out of the carboy. Your beer had more Co2 in it than it could handle, so it was letting some out.

That being said your length of fermentation time is not that long. So don't worry about it. I am however more concerned about your fermentation temps. That's pretty warm for a lager.

I had a little bit of airlock activity close to 3 weeks on my last brew, but I noticed my gravity didn't change, it was just a little CO2 coming out of solution
