Seen recently on another forum Very clever idea how to make a false bottom.

Just a steamer insert from IKEA ( http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90112531/ )

I'm starting to wonder if its possible to brew with equipment only from IKEA.

Seriously tho good work. I just need to get my S.O. to let me use the OXO splatter shield.

Have you used this yet? I'm curious how well the scalloped edges will keep out grains/husks.

FYI - I had a similar steamer insert I used in BIAB. Worked great until I got a 10% beer. The grains appear to have created too much suction against pot while recirc and the whole steamer collapsed. Just be aware they are not the strongest things in the world.
