So I just sold my 7 gallon mash tun that I had built with a stainless braid. I'm going to get a 10 gallon cooler to convert with a false bottom but I'm not sure what is the best size false bottom for a 10 gallon tun....10", 11", 12"????

The size that fits! What type of cooler are you buying? The rubbermaid is a 13.25" youll need a 1.75" stand off. If its an Igloo its 12.75 with a 1.5" stand off. There are others out there but what you'll need to do is measure it and buy the one that is built to fit it. There are other options out there besides to ones I sell. B3 or any of the suppliers sell a domed version, if you dont mind having a tube exposed in your mash tun to get beat up when you stir.
Hope that helps
Cheers

I suggest building a copper manifold instead of using a false bottom. I had some problems with stuck mashes until I switched to using a copper manifold.
