I've considered going the one keg route before, I usually end up with 12-13 gallons in the fermenter and just drink enough out of it before I keg so I don't have to fill a third keg part way.

I aim for about 6 gallons in the fermenter since I like to draw samples off periodically during fermentation. I usually end up with about 5 gallons clear, kegged beer!

I brew 1, 2, and 5 gallon batches. But if I win this keg.......

I brew 5 gallon batches. New electric AIO homebrewer, 9 to 10 gallon propane homebrewer. Propane brew day comes around once a year to serve an annual BBQ smoke out

Average brew size is ~12G. Range is 6 - 17. I always brew more than goes into the keg to account for losses whether its from trub left behind in the kettle to losses from dumping yeast from the conical!
