Outstanding!

Hopefully, @Northwest Hop Farms can locate some Sybilla. I've been looking for an opportunity to give some business to the new owners. Not sure I have room in my stuffed freezer for another pound of hops, but I've certainly got room in the kettle for a couple of ounces.

It's been a challenge getting authentic ingredients for this brew. Williams was the only place where I found any available Lubelska/Lublin/Lublelski, and was afraid I'd have to use Saaz (a closely similar varietal) in its place. Now, with White Labs collaborating with the brewery to revive this yeast from 1933 samples, recreating a fitting homage to the original is possible. I'm gettin' psyched.
Still no luck with the Sybilla, but we certianly have Lubleski https://northwesthops.ca/collections/poland-grown/products/2023-pl-lubelski-saaz

I just wanted to thank everyone who have purchased from us since we took over. It has been a tough 2 years righting the ship as there were a lot of things not disclosed to us. I can't go into details but suffice to say lawyers are involved. If I can ask people to stop referring to us as Northwest Hop Farms, we want nothing to do with the previous owner or the name. Maybe I should've gone with Kiwi & Pom hops instead of Northwest Hops lol

Maybe a moderator can change your account name...

[edit] And just like that, done and done. Good job, mod team

Right you are. That Lubelski I ordered from them has been sitting in the freezer too long. Pivo is ‘on deck’ for the next brew session after we get home from the current road trip in a few weeks. I’m still debating whether to hop strictly with Lubelski or augment with Saaz, since Lubelski shares a common heritage with Saaz, and I don’t have any other strictly Polish hops. I’ve read that the two are often used in combination, but I’m striving for authenticity. Even the yeast I’m using is a special release that White Labs propagated from an authentic sample strain cultured by the Polish brewery that revived the Grodzeski beer.

Just wanted to give a big thumbs up 👍 👍👍 to Northwest Hops!

I ordered several pounds of prior years hops during a recent closeout sale. I figured for the price it was worth a try.

I was quite surprised that the package arrived 2 days faster from Canada than my most recent package from Yakima Valley Hops ( despite Yakima being only a 6 hour drive from my house!!)

Despite their age ( some as old as the 2019 crop) the hops really shone in a Pale Ale and a DIPA

As others have stated above, I think Phil has really turned this operation around and I would encourage you to give Northwest Hops a try!

They were the only supplier who could get me Lubelski hops for a project earlier this year. Liked them a lot!

I completely agree. I ordered several pounds during one of their big sales. They were shipped really quickly but when the box arrived one of the foil packets had lost its vacuum seal. Contacted Phil to let him know and he insisted on sending me 2 or 3 pounds to replace the damaged bag.
That’s customer service far above and beyond what I would usually expect so I’m definitely a returning customer now and would highly recommend them.
