The 15" length would put it about to the middle of a 5 gallon batch in a 6.5 gallon carboy. Looks like it could be good...what do you think?

Do you think there's any concern with the narrow blow off tube that would be needed? My batches are - at most - 5½ gallons in the fermenter. With the amount of headspace in a 6½ gallon carboy, seems to me that the risk of significant blowoff is insignificant.....or is that wishful thinking? I've been using a 1½" tube jammed into the neck...as far as I can tell, nothing but CO2 gets into it; it's essentially clean after each batch.

I got a similar one with the stopper

just for less (amazon seems to get pricey).
it's kind of okay; Chinese welding just like the link from the OP. does fit through the stopper, but not a keg port (without a little bit of "reforming" the crimp).
