I recently upgraded from buckets to a 14 gallon fastferment conical. In doing so I've outgrown my chest freezer fermenting chamber, so I'm looking for other options. Has anyone tried using evaporative coolers for a fermenting chamber? I'm not talking about the t-shirt in a bucket of water type, I don't think that would be ideal for a conical, but I've got a closet in my basement which I was thinking of putting something like this in:

Any other ideas that are affordable are also appreciated!

Thanks,
Mike

The reviews/questions look terrible. Are you in a very dry climate, and not too hot? That's where I would expect an evaporative cooler to be good enough. Alternatively, you could build a big Son of a Fermentation Chiller around your conical. You would also wrap it in insulation and build in pouches for frozen water bottles, which you would change daily. You'd need to measure how much the temperature fluctuates, though.
