Guess my check bounced. :D

What season though!! In a year they go from missing the playoffs by 1 game to missing the pres trophy by 1 game. Plus an exciting win at the classic and a deep run in the playoffs.

Lots of young talent and the continued presence of THE KING means the Rangers will remain "relevant" for the next few seasons. I'm lookin forward to it!!!

LET'S GO RANgERS!!!!!!!!!!

Ps Kings In 4 :D

Dude, they were in the playoffs last year, out in the first round, I think you're thinking about the year before that when Philly knocked them out in the last game of the season.

Henrik is the only reason they went as far as they did. When he wasn't stellar, the team generally lost. If he gets hurt or struggles, the Rangers might go back to first round exits and missing the playoffs entirely.

That's what I meant. Extreme hangovers give me memory loss...........

Sweet, the EA cover vote has come down to Giroux or Rinne... precisely the two I was hoping for from the quarterfinals (would have preferred to see Brown though). I'd like to see Giroux win, but I'd ultimately be happy with either.

Christ, it's only been hockey-less since Friday and I'm already itching. Can't wait till tomorrow. It's going to be a loooooong summer.

I was thinking the same thing...about being hockeyless.

I'm ready! Should be interesting to see how the game flows and how each team adjusts as the series goes on. I chose to save my savings and watch at home, plus the beer i have on tap is better! Love that the Devils are underdogs again.

I'm going to say LA in 6. I know I said I'm going to miss hockey, but I'd like to see them do it in 4 or 5. Preferably 4, not just for the sweep, but because it's almost always better to win the series at home. Although LA is actually still undefeated on the road.

Oh- and Dustin Brown as MVP.

I am from Jersey... Just put Sierra Nevada as my location as a joke. Haven't figured out how to change it back yet.

I ordered my keggle fittings from you so I knew you were from Jersey, didn't know if ya cared about hockey or the Devils though.

red wings have it scheduled a press conference tomorrow where is expected text Nicklas Lidstrom will announce his retirement

Nice to see a Jersey guy pulling for the Devils.

Another New Jerseyan that's "suddenly" a Devils fan. Ugghh, is the bandwagon even big enough for all these "fans"?

I predict Brown 2 goals, Kopitar 1, and Marty flopping around on the ice like a fish out of water.

GO KINGS!!!!!

So Northjerzyg, why aren't you a Devils fan? Old enough to not have that option at the time? Don't like winning?

Years of Ranger fan tradition means hating the Devils.......... Even if their arena is 10min from my house.

Fair enough. I used to be a Flyers fan when I was young, just followed my dads lead. Was never interested in Pittsburgh, hate the Steelers too.

Although the Kings have the stronger team (and have Rob Scuderi, who is in my opinion one of the major factors on why the Pens won the cup), I think the Devils will make this a competitive series and may even pull it out. Why? Goal Tending is so much of it, and I know Brodeur really wants to retire on a high note (like Mark Recchi was able to do).

They they will make it a competitive series, but I think that Brodeur will tire and that'll make the difference

I think it'll be the Kings in 5. Quick wins this series for his team.

As amazing as Quick is, the rest of the team has been so incredible that he hasn't even been challenged that much.

Had you told me the Kings would win the Cup at the beginning of the series, I would have pegged Quick as a no-brainer MVP. But having watched almost all of their games in the playoffs so far, I think Brown has been far more instrumental to the Kings' domination. Not only is he their biggest hitter, but he's also a major force on the scoreboard. Hell, the guy has either scored or been directly responsible for *5* shorthanded goals in these playoffs.
