I contacted Stone to get the recipe for their new 18th Anniversary IPA and they told me they couldnt get me the recipe but a hint was they used "English Brown Coffee Malt" and 100% El Dorado Hops. I tried to find English Brown Coffee Malt and came up with no results. All I can find is ether crisp Brown Malt or Coffee Malt.. Does any one know were I could source this??
Thanks!

Here is the response I got from Stone after asking for the recipe:

"Hi Riki!

Glad you enjoyed the Stone 18th Anniversary IPA so much, that was a really neat beer for us to make! This is one of those beer recipes that is under lock and key for the time being so I won't be able to pass it along to you. I can tell you some information about it though: we used English Brown Coffee Malt and only El Dorado hops. Hopefully this can lead you in the right direction for brewing your own version at home! If you decide to give it a whirl, let us know how close you were able to get it to our recipe when you are testing your skills at home. Thanks for being an awesome fan!

Simpsons Coffee malt Is probably what they are referring to. Is a dark brown malt.
