electric hlt question

I have been trying to decide whether i am gonna build my hlt out of a metal pot or a 5 gallon rubbermaid cooler. i think the rubbermaid cooler would be a better i idea but i am not sure how to install it. Has anyone done this? if so could you please help me out with how to mount it in and also ground it? thanks
