I'm thinking about moving to an electric system. I'm currently using a keggle for BIAB, but plan on going to a three vessel system this spring. I've looked several places and through several pages of threads on here, but I haven't found one where somebody installed an element without welding into a keggle. Can I assume the kettles are the same thickness as the keggle? I want to be sure I will have sufficient threads to attach the lock nut. Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

Silver solder with a propane torch will take you 10 min tops and it's incredibly easy to do and cheap.
