- Tasting Notes
- Citra comes through late, Simcoe comes out strong. Aroma is very much Citra.
Hoppy as ****. Tasty as ****. Great color and head retention. Mine came out just above 6% ABV. Taste profile is similar to fresh squeezed IPA. First whiff off the tap and bottle is incredibly delightful and citrusy. Mouth feel is smooth with a little bit of biscuit from the Vienna. Carapils gives the head retention. Color is a pleasantly bright reddish orange.

Dry hop after 3 days in primary with:

Kegged 5g and bottled 5g for friends. Can't get enough of it.
I live in Yakima. I just had a buddy who works at one of the local hops processing plant drop off 40# of fresh pelletized hops on me. I've already got hop extract, but I'm working on steam distilling hops for my beers. I'm developing an all extract (for bittering) and hop oil (for aroma) recipe. Which means no vegetative matter in my beer whatsoever. Clean and crisp. Stay tuned.
