Has anyone used the Edgestar mini-regulator with a full sized corny? Its part of a kit used for mini-kegs and is about $50 and found here:

I want to get a mini charger so I can take kegs without dragging along a big co2 tank. I have heard people might squeeze trigger and discharge whole cartridge. This looks a lot cheaper than other mini regulators for the cartridges.
