So I have found a system that works pretty well for easily removing bottle labels. I take the pot with i made the wort in and add the bottles plus water (fill the bottles with water and cover to the tops of the bottles)and boil for about an hour. This process removes all of the residue from the wort while softening the label glue. Bottles that I have found most succesful for this method are most of Victory Brewing company bottles and all of Samuel Adam bottles.

A lot of people soak in oxi-clean solution overnight, wake up to labels floating on the surface in the morning.

Oxiclean overnight works like a charm on most bottles.

If you have metallic labels that wont come off with oxiclean then try 2 cups of ammonia to 5 gallons of water. Soak for a few days and they should slide off.
