Hi All!
My name's Kenna and I brewed my first ever batch of beer four days ago from a Brewer's Best kit. It has been four days (currently on day five,) and I just returned home to find absolutely no CO2 bubbles being released. Is this early? Or should I bottle in two days? I was instructed to wait 48 hours after no signs of bubbles before bottling. Also, I was not able to get an OG reading, is this a critical mistake? Any other way to measure my ABV? Any other advice about this particular type of beer would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Take a specific gravity reading and then another one 3 days later if it hasnt changed then it is ready. If im not mistaken the reading should be around 1.010 to 1.015. My first hef only went fermented for a few days and it was fine. Then you can either put it into a secondary or bottle after you know that the reading are the same.
