How to avoid? All my homebrews have it, but worse if overcarbed.

Keep in mind, your head issues might be due to residues on the glass as well...

Due to the angle of the photo, I can't tell really well, but that looks like a good head to me. What about it don't you like?

Or Lumpy? "Carini has a lumpy head!"

A good rocky head like the one in the OP's pic is a good thing. No reason to want to change that.

I would describe it as pillowy. Might attract more tasters to your home brew haha

You hit it on the head,mr shot. That pillowy head is creamy & gives more dimension to the mouth feel of the beer. Not a bad thing at all...congrats!!

if your extract brewing reduce the amount of dexrins/matlodextrins.
if its all grain do a protein rest.

The surface tension is too high. as the co2 disapates the head slumps in large chunks like that giving the homebrew look,

That is the technical explanation I was looking for with my original vague question.

I was going to say the same thing. Rocky head is a good sign, in my opinion.
