I finally have a 'big' surplus of homegrown cones. Looking around the internet, it looks like people recommend capping the drying time at 3 days. Is that the commonly accepted practice?

Mine usually take 2 days or so. Some big cones can take up to 3.

i dry mine until the weight is about 15 to 20% of the original weight. Usually takes about 3 to 5 days, spread out on a screen with a dehumidifier and fans running. I tried a food dehydrator (much shorter time) but found the flavor and aroma diminished quite a bit.
