Hey guys I have a English IPA in the primary that consisted of 10lb. marris otter, .5lb biscuit, and .5lb of simpsons medium crystal. I used wyeast thames valley ale to ferment with and the hop schedule looked like this:
.75oz, target,60min
.75oz, target,30min
.75oz, EKG,20min
.75oz, EKG,5min
It ended up as a 1.063@58IBU.
Now my plan was for a .75oz addition of EKG for a dry hop but the last few days I've been thinking of dry hopping with .5oz of EKG and .5oz of target. I know that target isn't normally used for dry hopping because of its pretty intense earthyness but wouldn't that go decent in a english IPA? I want my beer to be somewhat unique but at the same time I don't want to ruin it by dry hopping with something that I shouldn't. What do you guys think? Thanks for any info.
