Hey All,
Im in the process of brewing a Red Ale (6 gl kit from Festa Brew), and I have 2oz of Columbus hops. I was thinking I might try to dry hop it. Has anyone tried this combination before, and if so, recommend it?

Thanks

I was looking for the same info as you are. I have a red ale i just brewed on sunday. Thinking ahead that i want to dry hop it, but am not sure of the flavor of hops that would compliment without overpowering. what did you end up doing/using?

Columbus does well as a dry hop for a red imo. It's a little citrusy, and a little earthy/woody. I personally love an ipa-like aroma in my malty beers, so 2 oz for a week would do it well!

Thats exactly what i was thinking. an IPA-like aroma...i will try out the Columbus then. you dont think 2 oz will be over the top with the rest of it being a standard irish red?

thanks for your input
