Has anyone ever messed with Kick Starter or the Drink Tank growlers? They are pushing the Juggernaut on the Kick Starter website and I would really like to pledge and get one of the Juggernaut's but a little iffy since I have never seen the site or know anyone who has. Any info from some experience would be awesome!!

I've used Kick Starter, but have no experience with Drink Tanks. My experience with KickStarter has been ok, but the one thing I've noticed is that none of them ever meet their dates, they're always late.

I have looked at a few, never did anything with them. I am in an investment position budget-wise.

Some of them look pretty good as far as giving something back to the investor and others seem to just be looking for someone else's money to use.......

They've got a full on company now since their 2013 Kickstarter run. It looks like a safer bet and you'll probably get it cheaper than the final price. If the price is right (it's a $70 1G growler) and you don't mind the wait then go for it.

I've gone in on two or three things on Kickstarter and they worked out. Watch out for the stuff that has no rational basis (Russian wristbands that track and tell you exactly what you eat, for instance). Or the people with no prior experience trying to do ambitious but otherwise risky things.

Thanks guys, that was the reason I wanted to do it was to save some money. I think I'll try it, I update with the experience is anyone is interested. Thanks again

For what its worth I hadn't heard of this but after you pointed me to it I went in on it too.

I received a Drink Tank w/ all the accessories as a gift about a year ago & it is exceptional in quality.

Awesome! Another member pointed it to me after I had some questions about 1 & 2.5gal kegs for small batch brewing. Let me know how it goes for you.

I backed the 1 gallon Kickstarter for the drink tank. I think this thing is awesome, its basically a 1 gallon mini keg. This would be great for diverting 1 gallon of home-brew from the fermenter, as it can carbonate beer! You could also fill from carbonated kegs for dry hopping, oak, and spice experiments. I do not own a 1 gallon capacity growler so this would be great for parties / home-brew club events. My only gripe is that its not shipping until September! I want this thing now.
