So I have an ale in secondary that is in top of dried chilis. Before I put the chilis in the secondary I boiled them and added both the boiled water and the pepers.

Now I know that when you boil fruit you can get pectic haze, can peepers cause the same thing?

I really want to get this beer as clear as possible because the peppers gave it an awesome color.

From what I have been able to find, most jalapeno jelly people would make at home they need to add quite a bit of pectin to get it to set. I don't know if you used jalapenos (I'm guessing not) but its probably a safe bet that you shouldn't have pectin problems for two reasons.

You probably didn't need to use a significant amount of peppers. I had pectin haze in my strawberry rhubarb wheat ale... but I had about 8lbs of fruit in 5 gallons (the haze diminished over time).

And there probably isn't a ton of pectin in the peppers anyway.

Next time before you add the peppers to the beer you can put them in water to soak, then add pectin enzyme, then boil, then add the peppers.
