I use 5.2 per directions (1 Tbsp/5 gal) in the mash, 1 Whirfloc and 1/2 tsp yeast nutrient 5 to 15 min from the end of boil and a tiny amount (1/8 tsp?) KMS in the mash.
I've actually never had the original, just needed to make a keg of easy drinking beer for some BMC swilling friends. It went over well.
I think this beer is going away but I'm not positive. The last time I had this beer (Sept) it reminded me of Fat Tire, I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or not but it was the first time I thought that.
Was at the brewery Thursday; they confirmed that they no longer bottle this beer. Is no longer on the brewing schedule either.
Sooooo... anybody got a minimash/extract variety for this? I'm not set up for full grain yet...
