Bottled a beer the other day and halfway through I cut the spigot off, put the bottling wand in a bowl of starsan and had a smoke break. Came back in and finished bottling. Today my wife told me that while I was out side my new puppy started chewing on the bottling wand. She said she took it from the dog and put it back into the bowl and didn't tell me because she didn't want me getting mad at the dog. So I may have a case of IPA and a case Dog Slobber Mutt Pale Ale. Any thoughts on if dropping it back into starsan killed whatever came from the dogs mouth. And who's willing to try a bottle with me, I ain't dumping it.

My dogs drink right from my bottle. You should probably teach your puppy at what point we enjoy the beer.
If it soaked for a few minutes it should be fine : )

The good news is saliva is a pretty good germ killer in itself. The bad news is, suppose it turns out better? Are you prepared to always brew with fido doing this? I'm with ya though. Bottle everything you brew, then see how it tastes.
