And me Too! Although like most I only signed up for the HBT Whoreness of it. I guess I should look and see what it actually is.

So what is the point of this site?

It's not so much about the site per se, most peeps have the service forwarded to their phones via SMS so they can send/receive twitter updates via text messages. Just another way to say in touch...

Good way to send out beer porn too, through TwitPic. Automatically posts to Twitter and Twitter also works with MySpace, Facebook etc. if you're on those.

Twitter / chzfish

I don't understand what I am supposed to be doing with it, but a friend told me to sign up a few weeks ago.....I think I like being off the radar, or anti-social?

I was at Flying Saucer the another day and a friend's friend asked if we followed beer "tweatups"....My girlfriend and I paused for a second and busted out laughing. :D

I'm in my 20s...I do technology for a living...And, if I wanna learn what you're doing at all times of the day, I'll either move in with ya or marry ya...No disrespect, guys. :p

I think this would be a very good use of the technology available to know whats on tap at the local bars. If twittering is not your things you're entitled to that decision without discrimination, but so are the people that decide to use it.
Not everyone that has it are the kind of people in the video posted earlier.

+1. I don't see how it's any different than announcing what beers you're planning on making/in primary/in secondary/on tap/etc.

Ha...Lighten up, guy. I mean, it sounds a bit funny to walk up to random people and ask them about tweetups. :cross:

My favorite local tap house tweets his tap changes and menu specials.

You should have seen the flood of replies to him when the nugget nectar went on cask a couple weeks ago!

You knew who it was as a "friend's friend" so it wouldn't be "random." But if you walk up to unknown people and ask about twitter, yah, you're an idiot. :drunk:

Ha.....So, if you "tweet" with random people, does that make you a "twit"? :D

Yeah, bars should definitely be using this. Consumer's Beverages in Buffalo announces when new stuff goes on tap for growler fills, and I'm 10x more likely to go there if I see something that sounds good than to just stop in and look around.

+1 But yes twitting with some random people is pointless just like having random people for friends on myspace, facebook, AIM, ICQ, blah blah blah. Online friends you've never met in person are retarded no matter what medium.
