Does anyone make a glycol chiller designed to handle fermenting/cold crashing ONE 7 gal fermenter?

I saw that Kickstarter for that new one for $600 with 2 pumps included. Not bad. I dunno if I'm in the market just yet, but everything I see available is overkill. I only have one beer fermenting at a time and want to keep it that way. I've recently scaled back from 10 gallon brews back to 5 and it's been great.
MOST of the chillers I've seen are capable of holding temps for 5+ fermenters.
Dont really want to go the diy route either.

I’m guessing it is a conical? Otherwise the footprint on a minifridge is about the same as a glycol chiller right?

I’ve been using the temperature control loop from ball and keg for a few months (combined with mark keg washer pump, Inkbird controller and a fermwrap) and it does very well at controlling fermentation temperature at 60-70 deg. Only change frozen jugs every 1-2 days. I think i could probably get temps down to low 50s/upper 40s.

Works Much better than my prior fermentation chambers since it takes up way less room and cools the wort much faster.

I have been wondering if i used glycol in place of the water bath and frozen water jugs if i could use it to cold crash and lager.

Thoughts?

I've come across some good threads on this. I don't know if we will ever see anything like that due to a) limited market and b) low profit margin. It seems that the Stasis might be about as low as it can go in terms of making a smaller scale chiller that is still profitable.

I think the assumption is that if you are a 1 vessel brewer, there are options for fermentation chambers that are cheaper. To be honest, I have been thinking about glycol as part of my set-up for months, but like you, I pretty much ferment only one or two things at a time. So I have been thinking more about just using a used standing freezer. Its not as sexy, for sure... but for just 1V, much more cost effective.

I went diy and have the ability to control 1 fv like my cf5 . However if I ever want to control my fastferment 7.9 at the same time I can . It's good to have options . If your certain you will only ever have 1 fv going at any given time a freezer with inkbird might be the way to go.
