I've got a Pale Ale that's been in the Secondary for about a 6 weeks now. Do I need to add yeast to beef up carbonation? If so, how much?

Thanks for any insight!

Cheers,

Nope, there will be enough yeast left in suspension and stirred up when you racking to your bottling bucket to carbonate just fine.

I've yet to find a singe drawback from adding yeast. One gram of dry yeast is all that is necessary. A few grains dropped into the bottles works too. They will carb faster. My APA's don't ever get better after six weeks. You may just miss them when their at their best.
