The bottles we're using were ruined thoroughly immediately after being opened. Right now I'm scrubbing them and soaking them with starsan, then im gonna load them into my dishwasher but without detergent.

Is this good enough?

No need to soak with starsan, that is a wet sanitizer. You do not need PBW if the bottles were basically rinsed out well after use. I assume ruined = rinsed in this case. ;)

I rinse right after I pour out the beer and then starsan right before bottling. No need to use the dishwasher after you use starsan. The only time I ever clean with PBW is to de-label or if the bottles came from somewhere else.

Awesome, thanks for quick replies.
And ya, ruined = rinsed
