Hey HBTers,
I'm sampling my Cascadian Dark Ale and although I'm really enjoying it I would planned for more Aroma and Flavor from the hops. I added the same Hops additions for my IPA recipe and the OG was the same so I was expecting the same sort of Aroma and Flavor. The bitterness is find but the more delicate hop characteristics aren't where I would like them. Have you guys (and gals) noticed that darker beers need more late additions to if you want that hop flavor and aroma.

A lot of the malts you are using to alter the color have significant flavor. While I haven't brewed one yet myself, it would make a lot of sense.
