DIY Temp Controller

Can anyone recommend a good thermostat to use. I've read several of the Temp controller builds on here and see where people are using thermostats for there controller. Can anyone recommend a good one? as all of the threads I've read are a few years old and those thermostats are already discontinued.

Many folks (myself included) have had great success building controllers based on the STC-1000 and this thread.

Nothing against Ranco or Johnson controllers, but if you can wire one of those, you can wIre an STC. Plus you will have a dual stage rather than single stage.

STC controller ordered. Guess I'm just gonna have to keep my eye on the fridge temps for the time being while trying to keep my fermentation under control.
