DIY Stirplate

So im building myself a stirplate out of an old PC fan. My question is - which part is the magnet, the stir stick inside the flask, or the spinning mechanism inside the stirplate?

both actually. you attach a hard drive magnet (or similar rare earth magnet) to the center of the fan, and that attracts (and spins) the magnetic stir bar inside the flask
