Dip tube scratching base of keg, issues with infection?

So I have a few Chinese made 23L kegs and the dip tubes are to long and they press down on the base of the keg and have caused scratches. I have since trimmed them. I use PBW and Star San before I keg a new beer, is this enough or should I use TSP as well? I ask this as I have had a couple of infections lately and wondering if the scratches in the stainless have a hand in this?
