Because there's a box holding what I need for 10 gallons of beer in my studio. :rockin:

Placed the order to Northern Brewer Monday night, and it was delivered to work today. The yeasties are in the fridge and my new chiller and the Star San are nestled in their packing peanuts with my IRA and my Honey Weizen...

Today I am a happy man. :ban:

Brew Day is set for Sunday. :mug:

Nice.

What are you brewing?

The Irish Red Ale is first on the list, that should be ready by St. Patty's Day. The Honey Weizen is next and I'm targeting getting that into the primary the first weekend in February.

Good deal! I am waiting on a shipment from my "L" HBS. It should arrive today, my first dealings with wheat, woohoo. That plus I just placed a huge order for yeast from morebeer cause any order over $59 is free shipping. It hurts to pay $10 for $20 of yeast or something like that.

Yeah whatcha makin? nvr mind

Nice!

I went into work a little late this morning (I'm a little under the weather and therefore hiding in my office), which meant that the FedEx truck delivered my package before I left. Nothing TOO exciting, some uncrushed pale malt that I'm going to toast up, and a new oxygenation system (the one that Williams sells), couple other minor things. Won't be brewing for another week, though.

Since we all are saying what we just received for or are waiting for, I'm waiting for my new grain mill from crankenstein, they were on sale for $70 so I finally decided to pick one up.

Yeah, I had it sent to work, which will probably be standard from here on in. As cold as it got this week, and as hot as it can get here during the summer, I don't like the idea of stuff sitting outside.

Hope you get to feeling better bird!

Brutal ain't it?

Yeah and of course NB HAD to put the new catalog in there as well... :cross:

But I'm doing my best to stay focused.

My shanks got delivered last night while I was at work, so I was in the same boat! I just spent the last half hour finishing up the Irish coffin box on my bar. I will post pics of it soon. It looks freaking awesome. I need to do a quick coat of paint on the border and it will be done.

Now I wait impatiently for my gas manifold and beer line from Austin homebrew.

I've got ingredients for my "Heather Ale" sitting in the fridge at home with the intention of brewing this on Friday. Saturday is for bottling my Chocolote/Coffee Stout.

I took this term off of school so I have to make the most of it and brew like crazy. :D

I've got about 50lbs of grain 5 lbs of hops and enough yeast for a small micro brewey, but I am in the middle of a huge upgrade on my system. Got a buddy of mine come over after work to try and finish it up so we can brew this weekend. I love installing new toys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm planning the exact same thing except I'm doing an Irish Red Ale extract kit from Midwest. Perfect timing for St. Patty's!

I got a nice little box from McMaster-Carr with an assortment of fittings and clamps. Now if only I could get a hold of pedalbiker to get myself that keggle. :cross:

After reading this thread I am going to have to take a walk up to my LHBS at lunchtime! Thinking about making Walkers IPA as I have heard so many good things about it. Only problem is that I don't have a spare barrel, will have to buy another again!

Hey that's right, you have to build up stock don't you for when the little one comes!

No better reason than that I'd say! :mug:

I think I am getting there. You can NEVER have too much beer.
27L of BeastII, 25L of Cider just about to go into secondary (had to buy another barrel on Wed). Have to wash a lot of bottles over the next month.
SHMBO will go balastic if I go home with another barrel me thinx. Her hormones are off the show just now! After 8 HBs last night I told her that it was okay for her to throw out any bottles with twist tops but not the others. Apparently she does not care. She used words I was unsure of the meaning but I got the general jist. I then went and hid in my cellar.

I have 3 barrels (and the pressure one). two filled as primaries. One empty. If I rack one primary into the empty one, clean the newly emptied barrel and rack the second primary into that that will give me an empty barrel. Fill that with the IPA and then I have another few weeks to get another barrel. This idea I like! Bit of a chain reaction this. Will end up with the potential to brew 100L at once. Will need to goto kegs!!!

On a training course next week. Never guess where it is. Just looked up the address in multimap and it is just across the road from the LHBS. This must be fate. I am in SO much trouble!!!

Must've been in the air all over the planet... SWMBO and I were kind of in a snarly mode at each other last night as well.

I hid in the basement and hung out with that Rogue Dead Guy....

Cellars are good. Like caves! Getting back to our roots. I will probably have to light a fire at the doorway tonight to stop the wild animals (i.e. shmbo) venturing too close.

Oh man, I got that going too. Two days worth and it all started on the conversations about the 3-tier that I need to build as she saw the design on my notebook. It tamed down last night and kicked back up again this morning. A greek/italian (her) and a german/english. I usually take the worst of the beatings. Think I'll work late tonight .

Dunno, but she just called me and is now happier than a clam. She just got the job she was after. Dancing Nanner, I'm off the hook!

:ban:

Now she can pay for my 3-tier system.

Tomorrow is gonna be a LOONG day for me. I've been out sick from work the past two days and Saturday I'm helping a friend brew his first beer. I also just realized that on Sunday my first brew will have been in the secondary for 1 week, therefore I can brew a new one and put it in the primary. Then in 1 week when I bottle, I should be able to rack to the secondary!

So stoaked! I love this hobby!

And today it's another box with me ball valve, thermometer and QDs. :D I'd love to leave work right now and find a scrap yard to rummage through.

Yeah mine was a little more settled last night, and since her and her sis and mom are going gamblin' tonight and not coming back til late tomorrow afternoon things are a little more settled on my end too! :rockin:

Tonight it's me and the soon to be 3 year old assistant brewmaster getting things together and set up for Sunday's brewday!! That's nanner-worthy. :ban:
