Hello I am wondering at what point during fermentation for a lager would one want to do a Diacetyl rest I have read where it’s the last 2 to 5 gravity point’s from your Final gravity. Now I know one would need to take gravity’s reading like everyday to gauge where the last 2 to 5 gravity point’s are. But is there away to do it without taking gravity’s read’s everyday?

After fermentation has been going very strong for several days and begins to show signs of slowing down, you can just warm it up at that point. Or wait an extra day then warm it up. It works real well.
