I'm pretty new to mead making but not brewing. There is a ton of information on this forum and everywhere else but a lot of it is contradicting. Before I bottled my second batch, I shook the gallon jug with the air lock on and waited for the bubbles to stop. I did this several times. Did this degas the mead? Can degassing be accomplished by shaking the the mead with an airlock on?
