Hello all,

Looking for feedback on a recipe.

This is a 12 gal batch, split into two 6 gal fermenters. One will get S-04 yeast, and the other will get WLP530 Abbey Ale yeast

IBU: 34, OG: 1.053, FG: 1.016, ABV 4.8%
  • 21# 2-row
  • 2# munich
  • 1# carapils
  • 1# honey malt

  • 0.5 oz Apollo FWH
  • 0.75 Apollo 30m
  • 2 oz Apollo Whirlpool 170 degrees for 15m
  • 2 oz El Dorado Whirlpool 170 degrees for 15m
  • 2 oz Ekuanot Whirlpool 170 degrees for 15m
Planning to do 3 oz Apollo/3 oz El Dorado dry hop early in fermentation for biotransform in each fermenter. May change up the dry hop schedule for the Belgium Pale Ale tho - any thoughts on that?

Opinions are welcome! :)

That looks really good!

If anything, maybe drop the whirlpool temps after 15' to 150F and whirlpool for an additional 15-20'?

You mean lowering the dry hops in the Belgian version? Yeah, cut them in half.

thank you! we did a similar grain bill with eukanot/citra and it was really good so wanted to try different hop combinations. So 1.5 oz/each for the beligum IPA? any reason why? too much hops for the beligum esters?
