Does anyone know of any alternatives to the Spiegelau Tasting Kit Craft Beer Glass Kit ? The price seems high to me for 4 glasses. Anyone know of something similar? Im looking for 12 to 16 ounce glasses: english pub glass, ipa glass, stout glass, pilsner glass. Thanks in advance for looking.

I bought 8 tulip type glasses at Wally World for $6 for 4. I cant remember if they are 12 or 16 oz.

I really like the Spiegelau set. You get what you pay for, and the Spiegelau glasses are nice crystal, whereas the other ones in this thread are all plain glass. That's fine, but real crystal just has a more luxurious feel to it, in my opinion.

Agree, the clarity on the glasses really shines through, and crystal seems to be much easier to clean, with just hot water (so no chemicals left on the glasses).

I have more glasses than I know what to do with..I literally have to give them away or trash them. All you have to do is go to your local pint nights and get the free craft beer glass or go to your local breweries who almost give away a free glass every time also. I have every style, size, and variation of craft beer glasses for free...sure I paid for the beer but I don't count that.

I got some stemmed tulip glasses along with a few other options from IKEA years ago. Only $2 per glass and the things are still around. Great for brew days or being outside where they could/will get broken since Id rather lose a $2 IKEA glass than my Spiegelau glasses.

With that being said... I love my Spiegelau glass and will not be parting ways with it

I wish they did that here. I like the simple shaker pint glass, but they're almost impossible to get in Germany.

I second the Libbey set, I got two sets a few Christmases ago and I pull them out occasionally if I feel like using proper glassware. 85% of the time though I just pour my beers into a regular ole pint glass.

My issue with the Spiegelau glasses is that the crystal is so damn shatter prone. I've had to replace the ipa glass twice now. Their customer support sucks too

I'd be careful. Last time I wore beer glasses, I felt dirty the next day.

Well, if you want good drink and sturdy glasses, try the samuel Adams perfect pints. They are much thicker, have last engraving at the bottom, and are pretty thick. They are honestly a great glass.
