Country breakfast sausage recipe?

Was wondering if any of you could recommend a good country breakfast sausage recipe?

Something with a similar flavor to Jimmy Dean minus all the nasty ingredients

I've tried every reliable source I can find on the web, including Len Poli's recipe, but they all seem so bland and tasteless.

Bigdaddyale those recipes look pretty good.

Ty520 when we used to make venison sausage we would always season then fry some up taste and then adjust the seasoning and repeat until we were happy with the flavors, never really measured out spices.

There has been several recent studies that show there's nothing wrong with msg. I am more opposed to ingredients like corn syrup and starch
