Could I use these for brewing?

55 Gallon Steel Barrels

they are 55 gal barrels for cheap that used to contain honey so they must be food safe right? if so you guys think that 3 of them could be a big brew setup?

if they were stainless, yes.... since they are steel, I would pass on them.

They probably have a coating on the inside that would melt..so no.. keep searching for sanke kegs

I am just guessing that those drums are not stainless, most likely they are just mild steel that has a coating inside...sort of like a regular "can of corn".

Unless they are stainless, they are of not much value in brewing. HDPE plastic barrells are usefull for large scale brewing and can usually be had pretty cheap.
